1987
Chairman of the Board
In 1987, Thomas Pütz in Kaltenkirchen laid the foundation stone for the successful development of the company by personally and all by himself carrying out his first security assignment. He quickly realized that he could no longer independently coordinate the growing need for private security forces in the region and formed initial staffing structures around himself. At that time, the professional protection of events was the main focus of the business endeavors. The order situation grew steadily and the staff increased proportionally. For a long time now, guarding orders were no longer limited to the region, but were distributed over a large area throughout northern Germany. Despite the large number of orders and the large-scale distribution, Thomas Pütz was always seen in person in the field. He still allowed himself to lead major operations on site himself.
90s
In the 1990s, the company underwent a realignment. Event protection was no longer the sole focus, but the classic task area of so-called separate security services also gained increasing economic importance. Customers entrusted the then Pütz Objektschutz GmbH with the security of company buildings, factories, shopping centers, stores and construction projects. The demand for technical security systems also grew and the possible security solutions became increasingly complex. In this context, an emergency call and service control center, technically up to date, was set up in the company administration building. Now alarm systems could be switched on. At the same time, emergency vehicles for the precinct service went into operation. Since then we have been working 24 hours a day for our clients.
2007
The strategic economic decision to establish a joint stock company eventually gave the company its name, which is still known today. Pütz Security AG was born. The company logo was largely adopted, but modernized. Since then, it symbolizes the union of value tradition and innovation.
In 2007, a general cooperation agreement was concluded with the Schleswig-Holstein State Police, which includes the coordination of approaches to achieve common security goals. This successful partnership represents another milestone in the company’s history, underlining the quality and reliability of our services.
Thanks to Thomas Pütz’s enthusiasm for boxing, event protection for boxing matches has always played a special role in the company. At countless boxing matches, Pütz Security AG was responsible for the security of the athletes, the guests, the venue and the course of the event. The personal protection of the athletes during the live marches, with ratings well over 10 million, raised the company’s profile. Requests from a wide variety of areas were now received from all over Germany and boxing events were also secured internationally by Pütz Security AG.
2018
In 2018, Pütz Security AG was recognized for its rapid and sustainable corporate growth by the independent “London Stock Exchange Group” and included in the elite circle of “1,000 Companies To Inspire Europe 2018”. For the evaluation, sales developments over the last 3 years were compared across all industries. More than 50 different business sectors were examined and only 180 German companies made it into the top 1,000. Pütz Security AG is one of them and at the same time the only awarded security company.
Current
Today, Pütz Security AG has over 1,000 employees nationwide. The headquarters are located in the town of Kaltenkirchen (Schleswig-Holstein) with branches in Berlin and Munich and operating facilities in Hamburg, Kiel and Frankfurt. Although event protection still has a very special significance in the company, the separate guard service with its facetted diversity forms at least as important a focus nowadays. This has resulted in specialized areas of expertise that are constantly evolving to meet increasing demands.
Thomas Pütz is still Chairman of the Board of Management today and ensures that the tradition of values is lived and yet innovative impulses take place.
